For the last EMP501 employer submission period due 31 May we experienced a number of challenges with the SARS efiling system where clients wanted to access their profiles. This was due to a change in March 2021 to the way profiles are transferred. As a result of these difficulties some employers missed the deadline and were penalized by SARS.
We had hoped things would be easier for the employer filing season ended 31 August for returns due by the 31 October. Unfortunately, there are still challenges with transferring profiles.
